Rochester SCORE introduces QuickSTART™ program at MCC
Entrepreneurs eager to start their own business and reduce the time it takes to launch it successfully are invited to attend a free QuickSTART™ presentation
9 a.m. to noon Saturday September 11th at Monroe Community College, 1000 East Henrietta Road, Rochester.
Hosted by SCORE Rochester, in partnership with MCC’s Business Administration and Economics Department, the “QuickSTART ™” program helps entrepreneurs rapidly start their own businesses. The free presentation will outline the scope of the program, the roster of lecturers, discussion groups, mentors and helpful materials that will be used in the program. The presentation will take about three hours.
At the end of the presentation, those participants who demonstrate they are ready to pursue their business start-up may sign up for four additional Saturday workshops. Each workshop will feature lectures and interactive exercises. Between sessions participants will have homework and receive mentoring from seasoned business professionals with experience specific to individual needs. Students will receive a notebook with all materials and a flash drive to load this data and other useful business planning tools into their computer.

At the conclusion of the presentation, the participants will decide if they wish to go forward with their business idea and sign-up for the remaining sessions. Workshops 2 through 5 will be limited to 20 students in order to individualize the instruction and provide adequate mentor coverage for the students. Session one is free and the package of workshops 2 through 5 will cost $125.
SCORE is a national volunteer organization of experienced business professionals who offer free, confidential counseling and low cost educational programs to help new and existing small business owners.
