Tara launched her first photography business in 2006, Indigo Butterfly Photography. After building a cliental base she noticed that there were a few flaws in her marketing strategy although she was having a steady cliental base and business. Daniel, who is also a concept artist, joined her team in 2010, revamping the website and design of the business. We took a hard look including contacting SCORE about the possibilities of what would be the best approach in launching our new business.
We wanted to streamline our name, website and branding. In addition we wanted to launch Twin Bolt Studio as more representative of our personality and our clients. We were fun, our clients were fun and we knew we booked as many clients as we did based on our knowledge and customer service.
We also offer onsite location photography for customers so they can be most comfortable in their own environment.
Offering unique ideas and products, we worked with Matt Dennee of SCORE to help achieve our goal.
Twin Bolt’s dedication is turning around the thinking that wedding pictures and even family pictures are not fun. In fact we have never heard that from our clients! We love capturing the true personality of our customers. From quite intimate shots of a newlywed couple to the burst of laughter from a child. It is the smiles, tears and everything in between that one remembers about their wedding day or their children.
When we photograph children we get dirty! The thing that drives our images is capturing life, real life. Not the white pants and sailor top in a stale studio. But rather exactly the moments you think about them when they are grown. Dirty and ice cream down the front of their shirt, their arm up to the elbow in water in that pretty dress. Most of the time it starts out clean; as we believe every mom needs a “nice” picture. Our clients tell us however, they love the impish smile on their child’s face, which no one can catch, more.
We believe a photograph is not just a print or digital file. It is a single moment that should be captured and make you laugh, smile or cry every time you see it. We are told that our photographs are charged with emotion by our clients. That makes us happy because that is what we want.
