Ever Young Natural Foods Scores with SCORE

            Ever Young Natrual Foods was incorporated in 2008 with my partner, Charlene Venette, to provide health foods that support the prevention of chronic diseases due to nutrient deficiencies or poor life style, aging, illness and injuries that induce physical and neurological stresses. The idea for the Company came to me when I experienced serious illness in a beloved family member. In this case the conventional treatment gave some years of survival but without the quality of life we had hoped for. So, ten years after retirement from the Eastman Kodak Co., I formed, with Charlene whose family also had health issues, Ever Young Natural Foods Inc. www.everyoungnatural.com.

 

                                             

 

          The Corporate formation was preceded by about two years of intense study in the biological sciences - my past education included two advanced degrees that were in the math and sciences and my business experience was nil. My science background and experience as a System Engineer at Kodak allowed me to become reasonably knowledgeable in the nutritional biosciences but SCORE got me through the business end so critical to Company formation.

          SCORE counselors started by discussing the overall manufacturing and distribution process required. Then they brought in expertise in patents, approvals and licensing for the product. When we were ready to increase manufacturing, SCORE provided counselors familiar with capital budgeting and new product launch.

          Charlene, who is highly creative in the cooking sciences, has been creating nutritional foods for her family since she was a little girl. This was supplemented with years of study in the organic baking sciences with practical experience in operating retail health food stores culminating in the formation of the Every Day Gourmet ™ vegan, organic bakery.

 

                                                      

          At the time of Corporate formation, Charlene’s organic vegan bakery was merged into the Corporation to provide healthy bakery products as a complement to new SuperFood formulations. The first, brand name Diet Enhance ™, a blend of key algae specie provides unparalleled nutrition not available in the common diet. We have confirmed our algae health benefits by supporting a study at the University of Rochester Medical Center, the research organization that created the first vaccine to prevent any cancer form.

          The Bakery now sells to over 30 health store outlets such as Lori’s and the Abundance Coop. in Rochester. We expect to produce several new algae based products in the coming months.
