With more than 15 years of human resources experience from an operational and strategic perspective, Tonya Cannon has developed a sharp eye for how businesses expose themselves to needless employment liabilities and become rife with inefficiencies and communication issues from a human resource perspective. As a practicing HR Consultant, Tonya has made a career of helping businesses to set priorities and create the atmosphere necessary to promote positive employee relations, the cornerstone of any business.

As an entrepreneur herself, Tonya has had to become innovative in a tough economy and conducts weekly training webinars to HR Professionals across the country. She is a current and active SCORE volunteer and currently serves on the board of directors for the Rochester Children's Scholarship Fund. She is also in the process of working with Rochester Works! and other continuing education programs in the area in order to establish a MWBD Certification course.

Tonya is a member of SCORE and is producing our first SCORE workshop with respect to human resources, Human Resources 101. It will be offered on August 12, at the Federal Building.
