Funding a Small Business
On Wednesday, November 19th, 2008, SCORE and the U.S. Small Business Administration will present a workshop entitled Funding a Small Businessto be held at the Federal Building in Conference Room B0340, 100 State Street, Rochester, NY from 8:45 am – 12:30 pm.
The program includes information on The Credit Process – Understanding the 5C’s of credit, Choosing a bank and Understanding banking products, Sources of funding for your business, The SBA Guaranty loan program

Starting and Operating a Small Business
On Wednesday evenings, October 29th, November 5th, November 12th and November 19th, 2008, SCORE Chapter 23, the US Small Business Administration and Brighton Central Schools Continuing Education will present a course, Starting and Operating a Small Business, at Brighton High School, 1150 Winton Rd South, Rochester, NY from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
The series will address business planning, budgeting and cash management, insurance and legal considerations, marketing and finance.
The fee for the course is $45.00.

The series will address business planning, budgeting and cash management, insurance and legal considerations, marketing and finance.

Marketing on the Internet
SCORE and the US Small Business Administration will present a two part workshop entitled Marketing on the Internet at the Federal Building in Conference Room B0340, 100 State Street, Rochester, NY on Wednesday, October 22, 2008.
The morning session will concentrate on web site basics, organizing and establishing a business web site. $25.00 registration fee includes continental breakfast.
Part Two is for those who understand the basic concepts of web site development and wish to improve their internet strategy. $25 registration fee includes lunch.
Both sessions may be taken together or separately. However the afternoon session is to be attended by those who attended the morning session or already understand web site design basics. The price for both sessions is $45.00.

Writing a Business Plan
On Wednesday, January 14, 2009, SCORE and the US Small Business Administration will present an all-day workshop entitled “Writing a Business Plan” at the Federal Building in Conference Room B0340, 100 State Street, Rochester, NY from 8:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
The program includes information on what goes into a business plan, the sales process, overview of financial planning and the marketing plan.
The presenters will be SCORE counselors who are skilled in business plans.
The $45.00 registration fee includes continental breakfast and lunch.
